Hello Family!

Friday evening we’ll kick off our Vacation Bible School at 6:00. We already have a good number of children preregistered and expect more to come. Since VBS is in November, our schedule is different as well. VBS is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 13-15, 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The children will be learning the Armor of God from Ephesians 6. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.” (Ephesians 6:10). That is my prayer for you!

Thank you to all who helped us pack six hundred shoeboxes at our Operation Christmas Child Packing Party. But this night had its beginnings back in January when the giving family of Woodridge Baptist Church started donating toys, school supplies, and clothing items. Thank you for all the ways you gave. A special thank you to Judy Yates and her amazing team of volunteers who lead us as a church in our OCC projects. Continue to pray for our boxes and children who will receive them.

Covid has changed the way we do several things as a church. One event that will be affected is our annual Thanksgiving Service which usually takes place the Tuesday before the holiday. We will not have that service in the traditional way, but we will find ways to stop and thank Our Lord for all He has done and all He is doing. Tis always the season to be grateful.

Don't forget to plan to give to the Dr. T. Floyd Davis, Jr. World Mission Offering. We'll begin receiving the offering December 13. Have a great week and we’ll see you Sunday.
